READY... SET... GO!

The Children's Interactive Science Center is the heart of our facility. This Center is designed for youth of all ages, and is filled with interactive science exhibits that have been created to inspire and educate.

The Children's Interactive Science Center houses permanent exhibits including displays about the human body, weather, electricity and more. Additionally there are rotating science themed exhibits that will change throughout the year. The first rotating exhibit features interactive displays about flight. Get ready to learn all about planes, wind, and things that go up!

LOOKING FOR A FIELDTRIP?

The Children's interactive Science Center is a great place to bring schools and clubs for our Science Adventure Workshops. For a full list of the workshops available please contact the Program Coordinator at youth@explorationstation.org or call the Exploration Station at (805)473-141.

ABOUT THE INTERACTIVE CHILDREN'S SCIENCE CENTER

All the displays and exhibits are created and donated by volunteers, and the Interactive Science Center could not have been accomplished without these truly special people. The Exploration Station is always looking for helping hands. If you are interested here is what we need:

1) Skilled Exhibit Module Builders - All the great ideas in the world mean nothing if we can't build the modules! If you have a skill in building models, crafts, cars, metal/woodworking, or are just handy with a putty knife (or know someone who is) please contact us.

2) Center Docents - The Exploration Station is looking for Docents to be a part of the Children's Interactive science center. We need Volunteers to run our admission desk, and monitor the science center. If you believe in fun, entertaining, and interactive education for children, come and join us in supporting the center. 3) Financial Help - We have funding for our first set of modules thanks to a generous donation from Catholic Healthcare West. However, our future exhibits will be changing on a regular basis so we will need continued financial support for these.
